Home Buyers get the 'Couture' treatment in Cheshire

Wealthy homebuyers in Cheshire’s leafy lanes needn’t buy ‘off-the-peg’ properties any more thanks to a new ‘couture’ service, called Fingerprint, being offered by award winning property developer Huntsmere.

Fingerprint allows homebuyers to create a dream home to their exact requirements and specification under the expert guidance of Chris Oakes from Huntsmere. Commenting on the introduction of Fingerprint he said: “We have found that beyond a certain price, let’s say £3 million, there is very little property available, and what is out there is unlikely to meet the requirements of a buyer. The solution is to provide a service from sourcing a plot, managing its acquisition and planning, through to handling all aspects of the construction, right through to finishes and furnishings.”

Fingerprint clients, who are likely to have a budget in the region of £3 million and over, not only meet with the developer on a regular basis to fine-tune their requirements but have access to a ‘client only’ area on the Fingerprint web site where they can access a micro-site for their own property.

Via their micro-site clients can create their own interactive ‘mood board’ for each room in their house from a database of over 3,000 images and the sophisticated system will also allow them to upload images if they see something they like whilst out and about. They can access key information relating to their new home from the architect’s drawings, cgi’s, and progress reports. And from web cams positioned on site they will also be able to view images of their property as construction progresses.

Chris Oakes says: “Nothing like this has ever been done before. Not only are we giving clients thousands of ideas and solutions, the interactive web site allows them to show me the sorts of room layouts and designs they like and this will help to drive and steer the creative process.”

The entrepreneurial developer is currently acquiring prime plots in the ‘golden triangle’ that is Alderley Edge, Prestbury and Wilmslow (also known as Gold Trafford owing to the high number of Premiership players living in the area) for future Fingerprint properties.

As a sign that it’s not all gloom and doom in the property market, Huntsmere report that they are currently developing three bespoke properties for clients (with a total end value of £13 million) and have, in the last month, agreed deals to develop three more.
