Huntsmere starts work on properties worth £18 million

Huntsmere, the Alderley Edge based developer of luxury homes has today announced that it has commenced work on £18 million worth of properties in and around Alderley Edge and Prestbury. The properties include one speculative build project and four private commission homes for clients.

Over the summer the developer announced the handover of £16 million worth of homes in Alderley, Prestbury and Mottram-St-Andrew making this a record year for the company which was set up in (2008).

Speaking about these new projects, Chris Oakes of Huntsmere said: “There is a very limited choice of properties on the market at any one time over the £3 million mark. Imagine you are fortunate to be house hunting for a property at this level – your wish list is likely to be long but it’s very unlikely that all your requirements would be met by a house already on the market.

“That’s where a private commission, bespoke home comes in to its own. People invest significant sums of money but they get a home built to their exact requirements. We work with them every step of the way from sourcing a plot, managing its acquisition and planning, through to handling all aspects of the construction, right through to finishes and furnishings.

“Our private commission service is called Fingerprint to reflect the unique nature of each project. Clients who commission a property meet with the team at Huntsmere on a regular basis to fine-tune their requirements and also have access to a client only area on our dedicated Fingerprint web site where they can access a micro-site for their own property.

“Via their micro-site clients can create their own interactive ‘mood board’ for each room in their house from a database of over 3,000 images and the sophisticated system will also allow them to upload images if they see something they like whilst out and about.

“Clients can access key information relating to their new home from the architect’s drawings, cgi’s, and progress reports. And from web cams positioned on site they can also view realtime images of their property as construction progresses.

“Nothing like this has ever been done before. Not only are we giving clients thousands of ideas and solutions, the interactive web site allows them to show me the sorts of room layouts and designs they like and this will help to drive and steer the creative process.”
